Raw Materials is the long-standing duo collaboration between myself and
the incredible pianist Vijay Iyer.  Tonight marks (almost to the day) 8 
years of working together.

Mother Tongue I is a suite consisting of music that was derived from 
transcribing 7 people speaking 7 different Indian languages all 
responding to the question "Do you speak Indian?"
The results were astounding!

This performance also serves as a preparation for recording on June 15.
Watch for the release of MOTHER TONGUE later this Fall on Pi Recordings 
(pirecordings.com).
